Mi 12: This is our very first look at Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphone!

It’s not even half a year since Mi 11 was launched and we have started hearing about the upcoming Mi 12. Recently, a Chinese blogger revealed a conceptual rendering of the Xiaomi Mi 12 smartphone.

The overall design of the smartphone looks like Mi 11. The original front view of the punch hole in the upper left corner is missing. It could mean that the device will be equipped with an under-display camera.

In regards, recently, Chinese media revealed that Mi 12 series will continue to adopt the high-quality screen and will go a step further, using an LTPO adaptive refresh rate screen.

It can achieve a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh. The rate adjustment function can be switched automatically according to the use scene, taking into account the needs of a high refresh rate and low power consumption.

Furthermore, the backside of the phone has a camera module similar to Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra. It is a horizontal rectangular four-sensor arrangement, however, the overall shape seems to be more friendly than Mi 11.

Anyways, these are just leaks/expectations. Right now, there are no official words on this matter. We should wait for a little until any new information arrives.

Besides, LTPO is a different OLED production technology. When compared to the previous-gen LTPS, LTPO has a faster screen response with less power consumption. It further supports a high refresh rate. Also, keeping the needs of high refresh rate and low power consumption, it can be switched on by itself according to the usage scene.
