Xiaomi is expanding the April 2021 Android security patch in European and global markets. It comes with the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.8.0.QGGMIXM in Globe and V12.0.5.0.QGGEUXM in Europe.

Launched back in August 2019, the Redmi Note 8 Pro offers great value for money. The phone offers several amazing features of its age, whereas some of them have been updated to modern via firmware updates.
In terms of software, it stepped into the smartphone market with a pre-installed Android 9 (Pie) based MIUI 10 operating system. Later it received several major updates and is currently running on Android 10 based MIUI 12. Also, it is eligible for Android 11 and MIUI 12.5.
Aside from this, right now, the device is grabbing a new security update for the month of April. This security update will save your Redmi Note 8 Pro from bugs and viruses and will improve its system’s security.
However, the official changelog for the update doesn’t mention any major changes, therefore, we’ll have to wait for a major update for changes and other improvements. Moving forward, the new update holds the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.5.0.QGGINXM.
