Xiaomi finally won the graphic trademark dispute

The Chinese tech giant continuously applies for new trademarks to introduce new technologies. Similarly, in August 2019, Xiaomi had applied for the registration of a graphic trademark. But later, the trademarks were rejected due to the existence of similar trademarks.

Now the Enterprise Check App, showed that the trademark administration (trademark) case between Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd. and the State Intellectual Property Office has been published today (June 1).

It is reported that Souyidai (Beijing) Financial Information Service Co., Ltd., and Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd. applied for a graphic trademark similar to “four petals spliced ​​together” in 2014 and 2019.

Among them, the Souyidai graphic trademark has been judged to be invalid. According to an enterprise investigation, Xiaomi sued the Intellectual Property Office in September 2020.

Later the court held that the defendant should re-examine and make a decision on the basis of new facts, but the plaintiff still bears the case acceptance fee.
