Last month, Xiaomi officially uncovered a new model for its Mi 10 series smartphones, which is Mi 10S. It entered the smartphone market with most of the new generation features and internals.
In terms of software, it runs Android 11 based MIUI 12 out of the box. Whereas, as per Xiaomi’s MIUI 12.5 second batch device list, it is eligible to receive MIUI 12.5 update, therefore it will soon receive a major update.

Aside from this, the Xiaomi Mi 10S is currently getting a new software update that mainly installs the March 2021 Android security patch and a bunch of new features. This security update will save your device from bugs and issues as well as will improve the security of your system.
Following the changelog, the new firmware adds a function i.e, swipe down from the upper left corner to open the Notification shade and from the upper right corner to open the Control center.
It further adds animation that illustrates tapping a bigger card, an option that allows you to restrict opening the Control center while on the Lock screen, Permanent Lock screen notifications in the DND mode, and another option to switch between connected devices in the notification about media playback.
Other than the features, it fixes the issue that the screen flashed after the device was unlocked in Reading mode. For more information regarding the update, you can check the complete changelog below.

The new software update for Xiaomi Mi 10S can be identified via the Android 11 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.10.0.RGACNXM. And, to experience this update, users will have to download and install the package of 5.1GB on their handsets.
