Last month, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi officially introduced its Redmi 10 smartphones in Malaysia and then in European markets. Now the device has reached Nigeria at the starting price of N85,000 ($207).
The Redmi 10 is an affordable smartphone that comes with a 90Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate, MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, a 50MP primary sensor, 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, dual stereo speakers, and more.

Display:
The new Redmi 10 sports a 6.5-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, AdaptiveSync refresh rate (45Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz), and a centered punch-hole. The panel supports both Reading mode 3.0 as well as Sunlight display.
Processor:
The device is powered by MediaTek Helio G88 chipset coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Software:
It runs an Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 operating system out of the box.
Camera:
As of rear, it houses a quad-camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. Whereas, for selfies and video calls, it has an 8MP snapper.
Battery:
It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. However, a 22.5W charger is included in the box. Also, the battery supports 9W reverse charging.
Connectivity:
The phone supports dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, a MicroSD card slot, and an IR blaster.
Availability
The smartphone comes in three colors variants – Carbon Gray, Pebble White, and Sea Blue. The former two color variants sport a matte finish while the latter has a glossy polish. It will be available for sale next week in the country.
