Xiaomi has begun rolling out a new software update for Redmi Note 9S smartphones globally. Along with the latest, September 2021 Android security patch, the firmware also installs new changes, features as well as multiple bug fixes.
Going by the changelog, it fixes the issues such as the status of the Silent mode toggle wasn’t displayed correctly in some cases, the screen flashed while Bluetooth devices were disconnected, toggles disappeared after the Battery saver had been turned off, brightness adjustment didn’t work properly in Dark mode.

It further solves problems that the control center couldn’t be closed when the Ultra battery saver was on, battery saver toggle didn’t work, control center wasn’t displayed correctly in Dark mode, Wi-Fi status was updated with a delay in some cases, and the content center couldn’t be closed in some cases.
In addition, it optimizes third-party theme compatibility for the Notification shade and Dark mode adjustments for notifications. Moreover, users will be now prompted about locked orientation in Landscape mode.
It adds new fingerprint options, fixed for memory issues when the dual clock was displayed or when charging animation was displayed, lock screen notifications disappeared after an ended call, status bar icons turned black in some cases, Music player controls weren’t displayed in some cases, and many more.
