Xiaomi has kicked off a new MIUI 12.5 beta update for its Redmi and Mi smartphones in China. The fresh firmware that can be identified via the MIUI 12.5 build version 21.9.10 and 21.9.12, improves Mi Music.
As per the changelog, it adds Mi Magic support for the Mi Music play page. This will allow music to flow seamlessly between devices. In other words, you can transfer music between different smartphones or speakers without having to pair them.
Just by using the same WiFi, users can stream their favorite music to any compatible device with a simple click. Mi Magic also allows you to Broadcast a song with up to 8 different speakers at the same time, which generates sound encapsulated throughout homes or wherever you are.

It should be mentioned that this beta update is not applicable for Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, and Redmi K40 Pro smartphones, as the company has temporarily suspended the build for them.
This is because Xiaomi is currently testing Android 12 on these phones in the form of beta updates. It is expected that by the end of this year, smartphones such as Mi Mix 4, Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, and Redmi K40 Pro+ will be upgraded to stable Android 12 version, at least in China.
Xiaomi New Update Policy:
Following the footsteps of Samsung, Xiaomi has recently announced that it will also be providing three major Android operating system updates and four years of security patches for its new smartphones.
At the moment, the announcement has been specially made for the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro phones. And the company clearly states that only the 11T and 11T Pro will support this move.
Even Xiaomi’s high-profile flagship, Mi 11 Ultra is also compatible with only two Android OS switches and three years of quarterly Android security patches.
