Google to officially launch Android 12 on October 4, but only for Pixels

Last week, Google delivered the final, fifth Android 12 beta. Now, it’s time for the stable release. Reportedly, the US tech giant is planning to introduce the stable Android 12 operating system on October 4, 2021.

On this day, eligible Google Pixel smartphones will begin getting the polished and final Android 12 build through OTA updates. However, there are no words on its release for other brand smartphones.

Anyways, our folks over at XDA Developers claim that this source code will be published on the Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) Gerrit and it will very likely match with the release of the Android 12 stable update for Pixel phones.

Since the launch date is not officially announced by Google, readers should take this information with a pinch of salt. However, as soon as the date goes official we’ll make sure to inform you.
