Canalys report shows Xiaomi shipping 8M smartwatches during Q2, against 7.9M Apple Watches. This was apparently sustained by the launch of Mi Smart Band 6, which is the company’s best fitness tracker so far.

Canalys Research Analyst Cynthia Chen said, “Xiaomi made a wise move to hasten the release of the Mi Band 6, which is a more compelling device than its predecessor.”

Besides Xiaomi and Apple, Huawei with 3.7M shipments is in the third position whereas, Fitbit with 3.0M and Samsung with 2.5M shipments are in the fourth and fifth place respectively.
