Xiaomi raises Redmi Note 10 India pricing yet again!

Xiaomi India has again hiked the price of the Redmi Note 10 smartphone. This is the second hike in prices this month and the fifth so far. Again, the tech has focused on increasing the price of 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant.

This model was launched at Rs 11,999 in March this year. This fifth cost increment of Rs 500 made it Rs 13,999. Whereas the value of its 6GB RAM and 128GB variant remains unchanged for now. The 6GB RAM variant was introduced at the cost of Rs 13,999, which now values Rs 15, 499.

To be mentioned, just like last time, there has not been any formal announcement from the company on this front. However, the new prices are already displaying on Xiaomi’s official website as well as the Amazon India listing.

Reason Behind the Price Hike

It is said that the main reason for the price hike is the continued shortage of chips shortage globally. These ‘Open Cell’ accounts for almost 70% of the cost. India mostly imports them from China and Vietnam.

This coupled with an unprecedented increase in shipping charges has affected almost all the technology players, including Xiaomi.
