Following the fresh Mi TV teaser, the upcoming Mi TV 5X will have High-Definition Media Input (HDMI) 2.1 ports with support for Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). It suggests that the new TV will be similar to the Redmi Smart TV X in terms of ports.

It’s common and you may have known HDMI still in the case, HDMI ports in a TV are used for both video and audio. One can even plug a streaming device like a Roku or Amazon Fire TV Stick to turn your old TV into a smart TV using this.

Anyways, we already know that the new flat-screen device will feature metal frames with a bezel-less design. It will come with a Dolby sound and picture preset that’s responsive to the environment.

Moreover, the picture preset suggests that the TV might sport an ambient light sensor. It is a photodetector that is used to sense the amount of ambient light present and appropriately dim the device’s screen to match it.

It avoids having the screen be too bright when the user’s pupils are adapted for vision in a dark room or too dim when the device is used outdoors in the daytime.

In addition, we also know that the upcoming television will arrive with a future-ready chipset and memory along with far-field microphones. It is further teased to debut a new version of PatchWall.
