Xiaomi led Q2 2021’s European smartphone market for the first time

Recently, Strategy Analytics released the global smartphone shipments report for the Q2 of 2021. The report shows that following Samsung, Xiaomi ranked second in the market for the first time in history.

Meanwhile, the same organization has now published the smartphone shipment results of the European market for Q2, 2021. Notably, the Chinese firm – Xiaomi is leading the markets, for the first time.

The tech has surpassed two top vendors, Samsung and Apple. The data shows that Xiaomi’s Q2 shipments were 12.7 million units, a year-on-year increase of 67.1% and a market share of 25.3%.

Whereas, Samsung, who gained the second position has shipped 12.0 million units, a YOY decrease of 7.0%, and a market share of 24.0%. Third, Apple shipped 9.6 million units, a YOY increase of 15.7%, and a market share of 19.2%.

The two companies are Oppo and Realme with the shipment of 2.8 & 1.9 million units, YOY increase of 180% & 1800%, and market share of 5.6% & 3.8%.

European Market Q1, 2021:

In the first quarter of this year, with a market share of 23%, Xiaomi surpassed Apple in the country. However, Samsung was leading the market with a market share of 35%.

Still, Xiaomi was the real winner. Strategy Analytics witnessed an 85% growth of Xiaomi and only 21% growth of Samsung.
