New MIUI 12.5 beta update brings Game service optimizations

Xiaomi is releasing a new MIUI 12.5 beta update in China. The new update which can be identified via the build version 21.6.23 carries some optimizations to enhance users’ experience.

As per the changelog, it optimizes the back tap function to solve some sensitivity problems. The update log also claims that this optimization is adapted by Redmi K40.

It further brings optimization in Game service performance. However, there’s no additional new feature or change noted in the beta update. For more information, below you can check the changelog for the update.

Besides, due to the problem of being unable to use under certain scenarios, Xiaomi Mi 9 is temporarily suspended today. Also, started from May 2, 2021, if there is a behavior of irrigation and the hope to increase the internal test score, it will greatly reduce the probability of passing the internal test.

Xiaomi delayed MIUI 12.5 for some smartphones

MIUI 12.5 was first released in China in December last year, later in global, Indian, and regions. Soon after its China release, the company started sending beta updates but the stable release begun in March.

Recently, the MIUI development team has announced that MIUI 12.5 will be delayed for some Xiaomi smartphones. This is happening due to optimization issues with Android R (Android 11) of this new version of MIUI.

The report further reveals the name of the affected devices, which are as follows –

  • Mi CC9 (Mi 9 Lite)
  • Mi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition
  • Mi 9 Pro 5G
  • Redmi Note 8 Pro

Although, the arrival of MIUI 12.5 to these phones is expected for July via Global ROM.
