Xiaomi has recently begun sending the security updates for this month. So far only Redmi 9 Prime users got the latest security patch. While now the company is sending the June 2021 Android security patch to Redmi 9 smartphones.
As of now, it is only accessible in Turkey, it may be followed by other region users in the coming days/weeks. It carries the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.3.0.QJCTRXM, which can be downloaded in around 2.1GB of data.

The official changelog for the update further mentions that after you update your phone, location info can be reported automatically before the device is powered off. No major changes have been noticed.
