Redmi Note 8 2021 coming to market, Xiaomi sold over 25 million units of 2019’s Note 8

Yesterday, Xiaomi India has officially confirmed that the company has successfully sold 200 million units of the Redmi Note series. Meanwhile soon after the announcement, the company declared that the popular Redmi Note 8 series has sold its 25 million units globally.

The Redmi Note 8 series smartphones are among the most popular and demanding phones of the company. Recently, we have been informed that Xiaomi is bringing back its Note 8 with some improvements.

And now with the announcement of 25 million units, Xiaomi officially confirmed the arrival of the Redmi Note 8 2021. However, the company hasn’t confirmed any of the specifications of the upcoming phone but we are already familiar with some.

Recently, the device grabbed Bluetooth certification which confirms that instead of Bluetooth 5.0 the new Note 8 2021 will come with Bluetooth 5.2. Whereas its FCC certification reveals the features that we could not even imagine being in that device that was launched in August 2019.

As per FCC listing, the phone with model number M1908C3JGG will feature a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 operating system, 4000mAh battery, and 4GB RAM + 128GB internal storage.

Besides, the original Redmi Note 8 was launched with an Android 9 (Pie) based MIUI 10 operating system. Later it received four major updates and is currently running on the Android 11 based MIUI 12 operating system.

Other than software, it sports a 6.3 inches IPS LCD screen, Snapdragon 665 SoC, and a 4000mAh battery. Its quad-camera setup includes a 48MP wide primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP depth, and another 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie shooter.
