Xiaomi to soon release new Redmi Note 8 with MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and MIUI 12.5

The Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi does not stop surprising us. In April this year, the company has released the reloaded version of the Poco M2 Pro with some improvements. And, now it seems that the company is preparing to bring the new version of the Redmi Note 8.

A reliable tipster kacskrz has informed us that a new version of Redmi Note 8 has received FCC certification. He claims that it is an improved variant of the smartphone that could be known as Redmi Note 8 2021.

Moreover, the report shows a Redmi Note 8 equipped with features that we could not even imagine being in that device that was launched in August 2019. The phone with model number M1908C3JGG features a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 operating system, 4000mAh battery, and 4GB RAM + 128GB internal storage.

Besides, the original Redmi Note 8 was launched with an Android 9 (Pie) based MIUI 10 operating system. Later it received four major updates and is currently running on Android 11 based MIUI 12 operating system.

Other than software, it sports a 6.3 inches IPS LCD screen, Snapdragon 665 SoC, and a 4000mAh battery. Its quad-camera setup includes a 48MP wide primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP depth, and another 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie shooter.
