Upcoming Redmi gaming phone may launch this month

Dimensity 1200 is the latest offering from MediaTek. It maintains a continuous leadership in 5G networking, supports independent as well as non-independent networking modes. It is also committed to creating a panoramic and full-time seamless 5G connection experience for users.

Moreover, Realme has recently launched the first smartphone to be powered by a new MediaTek chip, Realme Neo GT. Now it is reported that another phone with the same SoC will be introduced this month.

It is said that the new device is from Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi. However, there’s no confirmation about the launch date of this smartphone. Previously, Xiaomi has announced that the company will launch Dimensity 1200 powered first Redmi gaming phone this year.

Aside from this, old information reveals that the phone may support a 65W ultra-fast charge. If this information goes true, then it will be the first Redmi phone to support this charging protocol.

Reports also expose that the handset may use a Samsung E4 AMOLED screen with a centered punch hole and a battery capacity of 5000mAh. Adding to this, the Redmi gaming phone may add a game shoulder button similar to the Black Shark phones.

It could be sporting a quad-camera system led by a Sony IMX686 primary camera. For those outside China who look forward to its global release, it has been reported that it may arrive under the POCO brand much like how the Redmi K40 is sold as the POCO F3 outside China.

When we talk about the price of the smartphone, it may start with ¥2000 (~$305). Other than this, there is still a lot we do not know about the phone, more details should surface as its release date draws closer.
