Launched back in May 2018, Xiaomi Mi 8 smartphone came with some of the latest internals of its age. It features a 6.21-inch Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 845 processor, 3400mAh battery, huge memory, and much more.
In terms of software, the device came with Android 8.1 (Oreo) while it is now running on an Android 10 based MIUI 12 operating system. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has now started to roll out a new software update for this handset.

As per the official changelog, the new firmware brings a new function – tapping a blank spot in the Control center closes it now. It further optimizes the control center layout in landscape mode.
On the other side, the newest update can be identified via the Android 10 based MIUI 12 built version V12.0.4.0.QEACNXM. And, to experience this update, users will have to download and install the package of 2.8GB on their smartphones.
