Redmi 8A Pro has started to receive the MIUI 12 update in Indonesia. This update installs the January 2021 Android security patch to improve the system security. The update further brings several new functions, optimizations, and fixes.
As per the official changelog, it optimizes the control center layout in landscape mode, animations in selected scenes, and brightness/color in dark mode. Adding to this, full-screen gestures are now ignored on the lock screen alarm page.

Moreover, the update adds a new function, swipe down from the upper left corner to open notification shade and from the upper right corner to open Control center. Also, the control center can now be closed by incoming calls.
The issues such as – notification shade weren’t displayed correctly in Dark mode and control center wasn’t always displayed correctly in landscape mode are now fixed.
