The Chinese OEM Xiaomi is expanding the January 2021 Android security patch for Redmi Note 8 smartphones in India. This security patch improves the system security for a better user experience.

Along with this, the update also optimizes the Control center layout in landscape mode. It comes with the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.2.0.QCOINXM. And, to install this update, users will have to download the package of 2.3GB.

Back in 2019, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 smartphone which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. It comes with a 6.30-inch touchscreen display, quad-camera setup, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4000mAh battery, and more.
Currently, Xiaomi has kicked off a new security update for Redmi Note 8 users globally. This update brings the latest January 2021 Andriod security patch which optimized system performance as well as improved system security and stability.
The update comes with a stable MIUI based on Android 10. Apart from this, it also corrects the noise that can be heard when the screen is turned off under certain circumstances.
