World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is the global forum for intellectual property (IP) services, policy, information, and cooperation. It works with the vision of encouraging creative activity and increasing the security of Intellectual Property throughout the world.
Meanwhile, as per the new information, this organization, WIPO has released the results of the 2020 international registration of patents, trademarks, and industrial designs.

According to the registration result of the International Design System, the number of Chinese companies increased by 22.7%. Among them, Xiaomi appeared with 516 designs. It ranked fifth in the world and has now become the first company in China to rank amidst the top five.
Earlier this month Xiaomi declared that the Xiaomi group and its ecosystem have won more than 600 international and domestic design awards. Xiaomi MIX won the IDEA Design Glod design in the US while a series of eco-chain products won the iF Gold Award, Good Design Best 100, and Red Dot Best of the Best design awards.
In the meantime, the Mi MIX series mobile phones are also received by the three world-class museums, such as – the Pompidou National Art and Culture Center in France, the National Design Museum of Finland, and the International Design Museum in Munich, Germany.
Adding to this, an environment-friendly packing method designed by the company i.e, “One Paper Box” design won the Bet 100 Japanese Good Design Award and the German iF Design Award.
As per the design, a packing box only needs to be folded with a piece of cardboard or corrugated cardboard, there is no need for extra auxiliary materials to support it. A report says that the “one carton” design can reduce the cost of the original traditional packaging by up to 40%.
