Redmi K20 gets Android 11 update alongside February 2021 security patch

Xiaomi is currently working on providing Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 updates for its several RedmiMiPoco, and BlackShark device. In the meantime, the company is also sending monthly security updates to these devices.

Some Xiaomi devices including Redmi Note 9 Pro 4G/5G, Mi 10i, Poco M2 Pro, and Redmi 9 have already received the February update. Meanwhile now, the Chinese OEM is sending this update to Redmi K20 smartphones in China.

Moreover, alongside the February 2021 Android security patch, the company is also sending an Android 11 update for this mobile in the country. However, the official changelog for the update didn’t mention any new feature or more. But as this is a major firmware update, the device will receive a bunch of new features, functions, optimizations, fixes, and more.

On the other hand, Redmi K20 officially went on sale in May 2019. It a 6.39-inch AMOLED display, triple rear camera setup (48MP, 13MP, and 8MP lenses), a 20MP sensor, Snapdragon 730 chip, 4,000mAh battery, and more.

Anyways, the security update saves a device from bugs and viruses and improves the security of your device’s system. Moreover, the update can be identified via the Android 11 based MIUI 12 version V12.1.1.0.RFJCNXM.
