Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is going to uncover its newest flagship series – Redmi K40 in a few hours. The online launch event will start at 9:30 local time (5:00 PM IST) in China through the company’s official website, mi.com.
Moreover, aside from Redmi K40 and K40 Pro, the company will also be launching RedmiBook Pro and Redmi MAX smart TV in the same event. Below you can check the link to watch the live stream of these products.
Redmi K40 lineup expected specification:
It is said that the camera configuration of both devices may be different from each other. Although the phones are expected to have an AI triple-camera setup on the back.
It is also said that the K40 will feature a 64MP primary camera and the K40 Pro will be equipped with a 108MP main camera. On the other hand, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.
Recently, Lu Weibing, the general manager of Redmi has revealed that the smartphone will equip the E4 flagship straight screen with a 120Hz high brush, and support Dolby Atmos as well as dual Hi-Res gold standard.
Besides this, Lu Weibing also stated that the performance of Redmi K40 in “game optimization” is “temporarily confidential” and will be announced at the launch event.
Redmi K40 lineup expected price:
The official prices of Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro will be announced at the event today. Redmi K40 is expected to be priced at RMB 2,199 (about Rs. 25,000) in China, which seems to be equipped with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space. Likewise, as per rumors, the Redmi K40 Pro starts at RMB 2,999 (about Rs. 34,000).
