He said that more phones released this year will have 100MP cameras. We believe these upcoming phones with 108MP cameras will include models from Redmi too.
Moreover, the Redmi K40 series is set to launch this month. The official specs have not been confirmed yet but one of its smartphones may equip a 108MP primary camera.
In the same Weibo post, he further said, he has realized that the companies that promoted the ToF camera no longer include it in their devices.
Xiaomi and Redmi are some of those brands that didn’t jump on the ToF train. Therefore we can expect why he is indirectly calling out those that championed the trend.
