Redmi Y3 receiving Android 10 update alongside January 2021 security patch

Google is about to release the Android 12 operating system for all Android devices later this year. However, there are still some devices that haven’t received the Android 10 update.

Xiaomi is currently working on proving the Android 11 update to its devices. In the meantime, the company is also sending Android 10 updates to the devices that haven’t received it yet.

As of now, the Chinese OEM is granting the Android 10 update for its Redmi Y3 smartphones in India. This smartphone was launched in April 2019. It was debuted with MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie, later updated to MIUI 11.

Moreover, the newest update for the handset comes with MIUI 11 version V11.0.5.0.QFFINXM. And, to experience it, users will have to download and install the package of 2.0GB on their smartphones.

Adding to this, the new firmware for the device also installs the January 2021 Android security patch to improve system security and to prevent your device from unconditional bugs and issues.
