[Update: New Feature] January 2021 security patch along with Android 11 update rolling out for Mi 10

Recently, the Chinese OEM has started to roll out the Android 11 as well as January 2021 security update for Mi 10 smartphones. The January update is currently only accessible for global users.

Meanwhile now, the company is again sending the January 2021 Android security patch for this device globally. This time the update adds a new feature in the device’s camera application.

After you update your Mi 10 phone to the MIUI version V12.2.5.0.RJBMIXM, you will see that the camera documents can be recognized in real-time.

Xiaomi is currently working on providing Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 update for its several RedmiMiPoco, and BlackShark device. In the meantime, the company is also sending monthly security updates to these devices.

Some Xiaomi devices including Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Mi Play, Redmi Note 8, Redmi 9A/9AT, and Poco C3 have already received the January update. Meanwhile now, the Chinese OEM is sending this update to Mi 10 smartphones.

Along with the January patch, this newest update carries the Android 11 update for Mi 10 in Europe, which brings the MIUI 12 version V12.2.4.0.RJBEUXM and weighs 5.2GB.
