Xiaomi is currently working on providing Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 update for its several Redmi, Mi, Poco, and BlackShark device. In the meantime, the company is also sending monthly security updates to these devices.
The Redmi Note 9S smartphones in some regions such as Europe, Turkey, Russia, and Globe have already received the January 2021 update. While this time, Xiaomi is sending the Android 11 update for it globally.
However, the official changelog for Redmi Note 9S did not mention any new feature, optimization, fixes, and more, but the Android 11 update adds several major changes to the device.

The Android 11 based MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 9S comes with an updated version V12.0.1.0.RJWMIXM. And, to experience this, users will have to download and install the package of 2.5GB on their handsets.
