Xiaomi’s custom skin MIUI already offers many useful features for larger-screen devices. With the MIUI features, tablets and foldable devices are brings lots of features, like the ability to open multiple apps in floating windows, split-screen view support, a home screen dock, and more.
Recently, Xiaomi has started to roll out a new update for MIUI 13 Beta that comes with MIUI 22.5.16 and includes several new features. According to the report, the MIUI 13 beta update is aimed at large display devices and new features added for tablets & foldable devices.
MIUI 13 Bets update presented the new Tablet Screen Settings and Fold Screen Settings Menu that supported only MIX FOLD 2 and Redmi Pad, which will be released in the coming months. However, the MIX FOLD and Xiaomi Pad 5 series do not support it for now.
The previous MIUI Beta update includes two new menu options in the device setting such as “Features of the big screen ” and Features for tablet. These new menu items appear only if the target Xiaomi tablet is based on Snapdragon 865/870 and Xiaomi’s upcoming foldable devices.
The Features of the big screen include several new features such as new wallpaper, new app display mode, customized Game, keep screen after folding, keyboard option for foldable devices, and floating window.
On the other hand, the Features for tablets include App display mode, MIUI+ Beta, keyboard option for tablets, and floating window.
