Back in April this year, Xiaomi Corporation applied for the registration of the trademark called Xiaomi Pay. Meanwhile now, the application status of the trademark has changed to “registered”, and the international classification of it is financial property management.
It’s worth noticing that Xiaomi has previously applied for several “MI PAY” trademarks, many of which have been registered international classifications, but have not been successfully applied to the financial asset management category.

Since Xiaomi has dropped its ‘Mi’ branding from its future products and applications, it does make sense that it might even rename its Mi Pay platform to Xiaomi Pay.
Aside from these, in September this year, the company also announced that it will launch Xiaomi NFC Mi Pay straps for its smartwatches and Mi bands soon, allowing users to experience contactless payments at offline stores.
these straps can be designed to be compatible with more than one wristwatch. It is likely that the NFC Pay Strap by Xiaomi will be compatible with its own watch offerings.
