Redmi Note 9 Pro September security patch brings several bug fixes

Xiaomi is currently busy developing Android 12 updates for its smartphones. In the meantime, the company is also rolling out monthly security patches as well as new features and fixes for the other devices.

Recently, Xiaomi has kicked off the September 2021 Android security update for Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphones in Europe. This will enhance the security and stability of a device’s system as well as saves it from bugs and viruses.

Well, the September patch isn’t the only highlight or the fresh firmware, it also brings multiple bug fixes for better system performance. As per the changelog, it adds new fingerprint options and optimizes App vault memory usage when the device is locked.

It further improves the ‘Raise to Wake’ function and fixes bugs such as status bar icons turned black, Music player controls weren’t displayed, App notification switches didn’t always work, the button for clearing memory wasn’t always displayed correctly in the Notification shade, and issues with displaying grouped notifications.

In addition, there are also fixes for the problems that using Face unlock and Fingerprint unlock simultaneously led to crashes, memory usage issues when charging animation or dual clock was displayed, issues with the lock screen clock when third party themes and super wallpapers were used, etc.
