Earlier this morning, we have come to know that Xiaomi is planning to expand its Redmi 9 series with the release of Redmi 9 Activ and Redmi 9 Sport. Now the company has officially announced the arrival of Redmi 9 Activ.
Recently, Redmi India officially took Twitter to declare that this smartphone will be available for sale from tomorrow, September 23. Interested people can purchase the phone from amazon.in, mi.com, Mi Home, and Mi Studio.

Redmi 9 Activ Specifications:
The new Redmi 9 Activ is a slightly beefier version of theΒ Redmi 9 in terms of RAM. The company offers two storage variants of the phone, which include 4GB and 6GB of RAM variants. The former is paired with 64GB of internal storage while the latter houses 128GB of internal storage.
Display:
The device features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and a waterdrop notch on top for the front camera. The phone has a slightly thick chin bezel and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
Processor:
It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. The SoC is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB on internal storage, as mentioned above.
Software:
Currently, the MIUI 12.5 and its enhanced version is the latest custom skin offering by Xioami. However, the Redmi 9 Activ runs MIUI 12, on top of Android 11.
Camera:
There is a square-shaped camera module with dual cameras, similar to Redmi 9C. These are a 13MP primary lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the device features a 5MP selfie shooter.
Battery:
The new smartphone is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack with 10W charging.
