Xiaomi is expanding the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi 9 smartphones in Europe. The firmware also brings the August 2021 Android security patch for better system security. It can be identified via build version V12.5.1.0.RJCEUXM.

Xiaomi has begun rolling out the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi 9 smartphones globally and in Indonesia. Notably, the update has been already sent to its home country.
Moreover, the changelog for the update mentions a bunch of new features, updated apps, several changes, and the August 2021 Android security patch. Also, it will make your phone lighter, faster, and durable, when compared to the older versions of MIUI.
With 20 times more rendering power, there are now few limits to what you can see on your screen, response to gestures is now instant as well.
