Xiaomi recently introduced Redmi 10 smartphones in global and Indian markets. However, it seems that the tech giant hasn’t finished up with its predecessor lineup dubbed Redmi 9.
In the recent development, we have come to know that Xiaomi is planning to expand the Redmi 9 series in India. According to the report by MySmartPrice, these phones are Redmi 9 Activ and Redmi 9A Sport.

In addition to revealing the names of the products, the leak also exposes their RAM, storage, and color variants. It is unclear whether it will be sporting a different design as compared to the existing Redmi 9 models.

Redmi 9 Activ:
It is said that the Redmi 9 Activ will arrive in two storage variants, such as – 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. Reportedly, it could come in a Metallic Purple color.
When talking about its specifications, it could feature a 6.53-inch display, Helio G35 chip, a 13MP dual-camera system, a 5,000mAh battery, and a rear-side fingerprint scanner.
Redmi 9A Sport:
Redmi 9A Sport could come in two memory models, such as – 2GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM + 32 GB internal storage. Unlike Redmi 9 Activ, Redmi 9A Sport is likely to arrive in a Metallic Blue color.
Moreover, it could sport a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.
Price
Of course, these devices be budget-friendly. Apparently, the Redmi 9 Activ and 9A Sport may cost around Rs 8,000 (~$108) in India. However, at the moment, there are no words on their launch schedule neither the company gave any hint at these.
