Earlier in the last month, Xiaomi officially announced Mi Mix 4 smartphones in China. The device is the company’s first under-display camera phone that comes with most of the latest and most advanced features. It has even become the world’s first smartphone to equip Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset.
Anyways, the smartphone has been successfully released and now we should about its successor, the Mix 5. A new report points to what we should expect from the future Xiaomi Mix 5.

Following the information by DigitalChatStation, Xiaomi Mix 5 could use a 2K display with an under-screen camera. The next-generation flagship is developing customized high-resolution under-screen proactive specifications.
This solution will have a more refined screen effect than the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, perhaps up to 2K level resolution. If this is possible, it will be at the same level as regular mainstream flagships.
Moreover, the effect of under-screen proactive is bound to be more mature. Thus, there will be no need to make a choice between screen quality and screen performance. This will greatly promote the popularization of under-screen proactive cameras.
Besides this, another report from the same tipster claims that Xiaomi’s 200W wired fast charging will enter mass production next year. There are chances that Mix 5 will be featuring it. If this goes true, Xiaomi Mix 5 is going to be a flagship killer.
