LineageOS 18.1 build are now available for Poco F3 and X3 Pro

Another wave of LineageOS 18.1 builds has arrived. Including several smartphones from different OEMs, the builds are now available for Xiaomi’s Poco F3 and Poco X3 Pro. Both of these are new phones from the tech, launched together on March 22.

They entered the markets pre-installed Android 11 based MIUI 12 OS and are now running on MIUI 12.5. MIUI isn’t a bad Android skin but sometimes you just want to nail down a few things while still retaining some extra control and customization.

LineageOS is an open-source Android distribution. It is a popular custom ROM and the successor of CyanogenMod. It has its own standard to compete against other OEM’S Android variants such as OxygenOS, MIUI, EMUI.

Poco X3 Pro

Developers usually take advantage of the open-source nature of the custom ROM and extend support officially/unofficially to many other devices. And, this is what exactly happened with Poco F3 and Poco X3 Pro. This smartphone has now received LineageOS 18.1 build on top of Android 12.
