After a long wait, on May 22, Xiaomi officially launched the Mi 11 Lite smartphones in India. The smartphone gets huge success in the country but previously it was reported that the company has plans to discontinue the device in the country.

Meanwhile, according to a new report, Xiaomi will continue to sell Mi 11 Lite 4G as well as it will be releasing the 5G variant in India. Reportedly, Xiaomi India has confirmed that if/when the 5G variant comes to India, it won’t mean the discontinuation of the 4G model.

At the Indian launch of Mi 11 Lite 4G, Xiaomi India CEO said that whenever the 5G network rolls out or if there is enough demand for the device in India it will be launched.

It seems that Indians have much demanded the Mi 11 Lite 5G so that the tech is planning to introduce it there. Anyways, the Mi 11 Lite 4G and Mi 11 Lite 5G are identical to each other.

The only major difference between the two is the chipset. When the 4G variant is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC, the 5G version features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G chip.
