Xiaomi Mi 11 series smartphones whether it is the vanilla, Pro, Ultra, or Lite, they are doing well in the markets worldwide. Now the tech giant is looking forward to introducing Mi 12 series.
Ahead of the launch of any device, we hear different rumors and leaks, similarly, the Mi 12 has entered the network. Recently, a Chinese tipster shared the rear camera design of a smartphone that he claims Mi 12.

The image shows a module slightly more rectangular than the current generation. The image also reveals three cameras, one of them is a telephoto lens of 5X optical magnification.
Well, right now, we cannot clarify that this is a real image or Mi 12. This could also be the picture of other upcoming models of Xiaomi such as Mi CC 11.
Xiaomi Mi 12 Launch Schedule
Recently, it was reported that Mi 12 will make its debut earlier in December this year. However, this is just speculation based on the launch of the previous model of the line.
Does Xiaomi introduce a single Mi 12 smartphone or the vanilla will come paired with other models too? Right now, we cannot say anything. Last year, Xiaomi uncovered Mi 11 alone in China, later it was introduced in other markets and then the tech giant launched other smartphones of the line in several markets together.
Xiaomi Mi 12: What we know so far
- Display
The Mi 12 series will continue to adopt high-quality screens. It will go a step further, using an LTPO adaptive refresh rate screen which can achieve 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate adjustment.
It means that the refresh rate of the smartphone will be able to automatically adjust between 1 – 120Hz depending on the usage scenario. This will make the device save more battery.
- Secondary Screen
Mi 12 Ultra will use a 1-inch ultra-outsole 192MP main camera. The native 1-inch ultra-outsole is currently the largest known in the industry.
- Processor
The Ultra model is said to use Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 895 SoC. Alike Xiaomi Mi 11 that was the first to use Snapdragon 888 chip, Mi 12 Ultra will be the first to equip Snapdragon 895.
- Camera
When talking about the camera, at the rear, the phone may have a rectangular design similar to SLR, could use a self-developed rectangular lens. It could feature a 20MP, 50MP, and 12MP (10x optical zoom) triple camera setup.
On the front, it could have a dual-camera setup including 32MP and 8MP cameras with the support of a 4K selfie, thanks to the new generation powerful kernel driver and the excellent algorithm tuning.
- Battery
It is said that the Mi 12 Ultra will use a 5000mAh battery which will support 120W wired fast charge and 70-80W wireless charging capacity. Also, there could be three-state liquid cooling technology to keep the battery safe. However, if a new policy pulls through, the company may not be able to use 50W wireless charging.
- Other Features
Last but not least, it may equip IP68 waterproof and dustproof, stereo dual speakers, multi-function NFC, and infrared.
