Xiaomi is sending a new software update for Redmi 8A Pro smartphones in Indonesia. This new update comes with optimized system performance. It further improves the security and stability of the device’s system so that users can have a better experience in operating their phones.
The smartphone was launched in April 2020 with most of the features that make it a perfect handset in the budget. In terms of software, it entered the smartphone markets with pre-installed Android 10 based MIUI 11. Later, it received a major update and is currently running on Android 10 based MIUI 12 operating system.

Also, it could receive the latest MIUI 12.5 update as the company has announced it for other phones too. In addition, the tech giant has even started the MIUI 12.5 rollouts for its older smartphones and a bunch of devices have already received it.
Besides MIUI 12.5, Android 11 is the latest OS offering by the OEM. However, Redmi 8A Pro doesn’t seem to get an Android 11 update.
Anyways, the new update for the device can be identified via the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.5.0.QCQIDXM. And to install this, users will have to download the package of 1.9GB on their smartphones.
