Xiaomi is rolling out a new software update for Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones. The update installs the latest MIUI 12.5 along with several new and amazing features and functions.
The phone was launched a couple of years back. It offers great value for money as it came with several amazing features of its age. In terms of software, it stepped into the markets with a pre-installed Android 9 (Pie) based MIUI 10 operating system.

Anyways, identified via the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 build version V12.5.1.0.RGGCNXM, the new update is only accessible in China. It may be followed by other region users in the coming days/weeks.
Moreover, the changelog for the update mentions that with custom device model adjustments, any phone becomes faster after the upgrade. Of course, the MIUI 12.5 is lighter and durable than the previous-gen MIUIs.
However, the changelog doesn’t explain any major changes but we are already familiar with MIUI 12.5. It brings lots of changes in UI as well as in the settings page, new super wallpapers, new sounds, updated apps, more privacy, more security, and other features.
