Back in March this year, Xiaomi finally started rolling out the MIUI 12.5 update for its eligible smartphones. So far, several devices have received the MIUI 12.5 update all around the world. Among them, Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra was the first to receive it.

Expanding the list of MIUI 12.5, the OEM has now begun sending the update to Redmi 10X 5G and Redmi 10X Pro smartphones. Identified via the Android 11 based build version V12.5.2.0.RJHCNXM, V12.5.2.0.RJLCNXM, the updates weigh 3.0 and 3.1GB respectively.

Moreover, the changelog for the update doesn’t mention anything but a tagline MIUI 12.5. Yours alone. However, the new-gen MIUI brings lots of changes in UI as well as in the settings page. The new setting page has a dedicated wallpaper and personalization page that brings all the customization options in a single place.

There are Always On Display settings, a new lock screen layout with different formats, icons that now have support for third-party apps, and more. Apart from the wallpaper page, the MIUI 12.5 has a new-looking volume panel. The camera application has now cards like UI, which shows the additional features visually.

Now, aside from the UI changes, the new version makes many system apps uninstallable and removable. Talking about privacy, with this new update, you don’t need to give the exact location of yours to any application.

The updated Gallery app allows you to make PDF by the gallery itself, it also gives you more filters for picture and video editing. Moreover, the updated Notes app will give you a more visual ID for your notes, it also offers drawing tools so that you can make your notes more interesting.

Now coming to the most interesting feature of MIUI 12.5, which is MIUI+. This allows you to combine your phone and computer into a single working station.
