We all know that Google will publically release the 12th iteration of its Android Operating System, Android 12 somewhere in September this year. In the last three months, the company has released three developer previews of the new-gen Android, and now it’s turn for the public beta release.
The Google I/O 2021 went live a few hours ago. Google showcased their latest Android 12 public beta for the Pixel smartphones. In the meantime, several third-party OEMs, such as Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus, Realme, Techno, Sharp, Vivo, TCL, Lenovo, Asus, and ZTE are also eligible to test the Android 12.

Following this announcement, the Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi declared that it will begin seeding its own official Android 12 beta to some of its devices in the Mi 11 series. The series includes Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i/Mi 11X Pro/Redmi K40 Pro.
However, the OEM states that this release is only for testing purposes and it will provide users with all the features needed to improve the compatibility and development of your application for the next version of Android.
Moreover, compared to previous developer previews, this first beta is not a significant change in terms of core functionality. Most of the features have been already seen in the Android 12 developer previews.
Although the first beta has an entirely new design called “Material You”, which replaces the old Material design. Material You reconstructs the way we use shapes, colors, shapes, and motion. Essentially Android 12 has a new theming engine (check the official video below).
