Xiaomi has already delayed sending the Android security patches for this month. On April 15, starting with Poco X3 Pro smartphones, the OEM is impressively distributing the newer security patch through OTA to its numerous eligible phones.
Recently, the company’s old mid-ranger, Redmi Note 8T has received April 2021 security update, and now the Redmi 9C is the latest to get it. This firmware is currently rolling out in global markets and may soon be rolled out for other region users too.

Moreover, the official changelog for the update doesn’t mention any new features or major changes. It only improves the security of your device’s system as well as saves it from bugs and viruses.
