Back in November 2019, Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 8T smartphones with a pre-installed Android 9 (Pie) based MIUI 10 operating system. Later, it received three major updates, hence, it is currently running on Android 10 based MIUI 12.
Moreover, the device is also eligible for Android 11. As per Xiaomi’s stable MIUI 12.5 rollout plan, some old Xiaomi devices will also receive the MIUI 12.5 update, and the Redmi Note 8T is one of them.

Moving forward, the phone is now receiving a new software update that installs the latest Android security patch for the month of April. Well, this new firmware will save from device from bugs and viruses and will improve the security of your system.
Aside from this, the official changelog for the update didn’t mention any new features or major changes. Anyways, the new software update carries the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.3.0.QCXEUXM, and weighs 2.4GB.
