On December 28, 2020, Xiaomi officially uncovered the new version of its Android skin, MIUI 12.5. Soon after the launch, the company started pushing closed beta builds of MIUI 12.5 to selected Mi and Redmi smartphones in its home country.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has again begun sending a new MIUI 12.5 beta update in China which carries version 21.2.12. As per the official changelog, it optimizes some issues that affect the users’ experience, however, the update log doesn’t mention the bugs.

Other than this, Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra release development versions based on MIUI12.5, with multiple optimizations and improvements, to pay tribute to brave early adopters.
As the company is investigating the problem of unresponsive wireless charging in the drop-down control center in a specific scenario, Mi 9 Pro, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Ultra, Redmi K40 Pro, Mi 10S, Mi 11 are temporarily suspended today.
In order to give Mi Fan friends a relatively better experience in using the test version, Redmi K40 will release the test results later. Starting from April 24, 2021, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Mi CC 9e will stop the development version internal beta test.
