Xiaomi just launched its second-generation Mi AI Speaker, with improved sound quality as well as improved Internet of Things (IoT) experience. It has a built-in Bluetooth Mesh gateway, support for combined stereo, and more at just a starting price of 199 yuan.
The new Mi AI speaker is equipped with six-ring microphones. And, its combined stereo allows users to connect two speakers to get a surround sound experience.

Its inverted cabin design helps in improving the low-frequency effect. Adding to this, it comes with a new sound algorithm that offers a wider dynamic range and support for combining multiple devices for playback in the whole house at the same time.
Moreover, the speaker features a deeper low-frequency compared to the previous generation model. It also supports XiaoAI and Mijia Smooth Connection, enabling one-click connect.
Besides, the official listing reveals that the Mi AI Speaker has support for the Xiaomi IoT platform that has access to more than 271 million smart devices and also has support for 89 IoT platforms, including Philips and Op.
With a built-in Bluetooth Mesh Gateway, it can be connected to hundreds of Bluetooth devices such as Door Locks and Lights. Such devices can also be configured with the XiaoAI-based voice commands.
