Although MIUI 12.5 began its deployment a few days ago through the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. Whereas, Xiaomi has now drafted plans to upgrade a bunch of smartphones to MIUI 12.5 by the end of next month.

The firm has confirmed that on the 30th of April, all the devices that take part in the first phase of deployment will be updated, which concerns the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Ultra, and Mi 11.

The rollout will only apply to devices on the company’s Chinese ROM, although it may be before May that Xiaomi’s latest OS reaches devices globally. Others, such as the POCO F2 Pro and the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be left stranded on MIUI 12 until at least June 2021.

Earlier this year, the company revealed that it would begin upgrading devices globally sometime during this quarter but it would not commit itself to a more specific timeframe.

Adding to this, it should be noted that the first comments that come to us from China about the MIUI 12.5 update are quite promising. Apparently, this new generation of MIUI provides a fairly noticeable plus of fluency. It also solves a large number of bugs that we saw in other previous versions.
