Aside from the Redmi K40 series and Redmi Note 10 series, Xiaomi also introduced its Mi 10S smartphones in China recently. The smartphone came pre-installed with the Android 11 based MIUI 12 operating system.

Moreover, recently, we have witnessed, Xiaomi Mi 10S collecting its first software update which optimizes system performance and improves system security and stability.
Meanwhile now, the company has begun sending a new firmware update for this device. The official changelog for the update mentions a bunch of new functions, optimizations, and fixes.

Following the changelog, the new firmware adds a function i.e, swipe down from the upper left corner to open the Notification shade and from the upper right corner to open the Control center.
It further adds animation that illustrates tapping a bigger card, an option that allows you to restrict opening the Control center while on the Lock screen, Permanent Lock screen notifications in the DND mode, and another option to switch between connected devices in the notification about media playback.
It fixes issues such as some notification icons couldn’t be displayed, the screen flashed after the device was unlocked in Reading mode, and the control center wasn’t always displayed correctly in landscape mode.
Talking about the optimizations, the update optimizes the control center layout in landscape mode. Other than this, the latest update for Mi 10S holds the Android 11 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.8.0.RGACNXM, which can be download in 3.8GB.
