New Redmi smartphone with telephoto macro lens already under development

You may have known that a Chinese company, Oppo has released a new smartphone series, Oppo Find X3 on March 11. The smartphone features a 60x microscope camera that can shoot macro images.

Following the launch, Wang Teng, Redmi’s product director on Weibo said, “The telephoto macro is a feature that Xiaomi first launched last year. It’s great to see more brands launching similar features together.”

The more important thing he revealed is that a new Redmi smartphone with the same feature is under development. He further said that the company will also be upgrading its macro shooting capabilities. He announced the actual shots, which are expected to be MSG, which is sodium glutamate crystals.

Aside from this, in 2020, the brand introduced the Redmi K30 Pro smartphones which were equipped with the telephoto macro lens.

On the other hand, the company has recently released the Redmi K40 series in China and Redmi Note 10 series globally and in India. In addition, just a couple of days ago, Xiaomi also launched Mi 10S smartphones in its home country.

The Chinese tech giant is now preparing to announce more products in its Mi 11 series as well as the brand new Mi MIX 4 series. The list of smartphones includes Mi 11 Lite, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra/Pro+.
