First firmware update for Redmi Note 10 brings February 2021 security patch

A few days ago, Xiaomi releases its latest Redmi Note 10 series in Indian and global markets. In India, the series includes three smartphones Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max.

While globally, the lineup covers 4 models – Redmi Note 10, Note 10 5G, Note 10S, and Note 10 Pro. However, the Indian Note 10 and global Note are the same but the Indian Pro Max model is similar to the Pro model of the global series.

Moving forward, a couple of days ago we have witnessed Redmi Note 10 Pro/Pro Max’s first software update. Meanwhile, now the company has started to roll out the first update for Redmi Note 10 phones in global markets.

The latest update mainly installs the February 2021 Android security patch that helps in improving system security and protect your device from bugs and viruses. Moreover, this new firmware can be identified via the Android 11 based MIUI 12 version V12.0.2.0.RKGMIXM.

Other than this, as we know that Xiaomi has released the newest version of its custom skin MIUI, MIUI 12.5 in December 2020, it is now official in international markets also.

Now the company has released the second batch device list for MIUI Global beta testers recruitment. In the meantime, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco has also opened Global stable beta testers recruitment.
