MIUI development version now available for Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro

On February 25, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has officially uncovered its newest flagship series, Redmi K40. The lineup includes 3 models – Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, and Redmi K40 Pro+.

The smartphones come with all the premium features and specs you would expect from any flagship. All three phones have the same display and design. Also, they come in the same color options, but the hardware underneath differs, especially the camera hardware.

Moreover, pre-bookings for the devices were started before the launch and they officially went on sale yesterday (March 1). Meanwhile now, the company has opened the MIUI development version internal test application for Redmi K40 Pro.

It is worth mentioning that the MIUI development version internal test application has only opened for Redmi K40 Pro and not for Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro+.

Interested Redmi K40 Pro users can now apply for the development version internal test via Xiaomi Community > Me > My Inside, and then wait patiently to pass the review of the development team to join the development version of the internal beta.

Below you can check the official test instructions for the device.

  • This public beta is expected to be released in the near future, only supports card swiping, not online swiping.
  • Public test = public test, the version is unstable, please be sure to back up important data to the cloud service or local computer before upgrading.
  • During the test period, if you have any suggestions for bugs or new features, you can go to the Mi Community Product Circle-Development Beta Circle or user feedback App to submit.
  • Using public beta flashing package to make illegal profits is prohibited. Once this phenomenon is discovered, the upgrade authority will be canceled and the relevant account will be banned.
